The Chilli faded is a bigger fuller board compared to other short boards. It has a lot of volume under the chest which means it glides into waves easy especially useful when it gets bigger and heavier. I found it super critical in high quality sections.

I live on the Surf Coast and ride a 6’2” Chilli Faded as my step up for days in the 6ft range. I’m above average at 181cm and 88kg so love that this is a board with just a tiny bit more volume but still a classic high performance short board. It’s fast. Really fast actually and generates speed effortlessly. There is enough rocker that it feels it will hold in anything and is easy to put on a rail but flat enough to be forgiving and not be twitchy. And when it’s 6ft building and there is a lot of energy in the water it’s great to have that confidence in a relatively short board. Great thing too, I can ride this when it’s 2ft and it still feels light and responsive like any good short board. It really is a great all rounder performance board.
