This board performs VERY well in overhead surf. I took it out Cloudbreak on an 8 foot day and felt very comfortable once I was up. The sets were hard to paddle into(mostly due to my kookiness) but it held. Line very well and can be put on rail. In anything under head high it will lack speed and big turns so it definitely is a good wave board for me. I used AM2 FCS2 fins which worked well, but a more upright fin would have allowed me to cut tighter turns on it. It just tracks that well on a wave is all. It handles steep takeoffs very well and would recommend for. Step up board. If I had to surf Cloudbreak again at 8 foot I would have chosen the 6’2 or 6’3.

I use this board as step up from my 6ft DHD Skeleton Key. I’ve only surfed the sweet spot 4 times but changing between boards is seemless. The waves were quality, powerful, head high to 2ft+ overhead. The sweet spot performs exactly as described. It feels good through turns and holds its line perfectly in hollow sections. I’m more than confident it would go even better in bigger surf.

This board is awesome.. Use this board for the bigger waves in south west oz. I added a little width for a bit more stability, don't know if I actually needed it but the board rides sick. First day out on this board the wave gods gave me a little over head high barrels. I got cover many times and made it out on all of them! How could I not love this board!

Really easy to pick up waves, excellent stability on take off, great manouverabilty. This is an excellent board for 40 - 60+ surfer who wants to continue with a performance board. The volume and extra width make it easier to get into the wave without loss of performance. I snapped my board by landing on it from 6 ft up (not the boards fault), I ordered the same board as a replacement.

This board is excellent! At first I thought it might not be wide enough for someone of my age but I have been pleasantly surprised. This board has outstanding maneuverability and paddling is a breeze. Simply put, it is an outstanding product of Australian craftsmanship!

Ordered a 5’10 sweetspot for my trip to the mentawais. It was my go to board for when the waves were 3-6ft. Couldn’t believe how well the board holds so you don’t have to worry about your board sliding out when the waves get bigger or when putting it on rail when carving. Goes sick in the barrel too. Surfed it from overhead HTs to 3ft burgerworld and the thing went sick. Definitely a board worth having in your quiver!
