A brilliant wave catcher - piles of volume - running as a thruster so very loose - was missing waves on my shorter boards but having the extra volume has really flipped things around - best board I have owned!

Bought this board for my son and boy is he lucky! Such a great board. It is way too small for me but it is still excellent to ride. It turns on a dime and has so much drive, you can really generate some speed very easily. The glassing job doesn’t seem to be the greatest as some cracks have appeared on the rails fairly easily. My little boy is very lucky this board is too small for me or he’d be losing his xmas present!

Fun to ride with good paddle power, makes catching waves and building up speed down the line a lot easier. Perfect board to progress your surfing.

Just started surfing and wanted a board that was fun and easy to use. I decided on the Seaside as I arrived at the surf shop the day they were bringing the new stock in (A sign from God). So I thought what the hell. A super light board that paddles fast and can be turned around very easily if you want to commit to a wave. Almost turns as well as my bodyboard. Seems to generate speed quite easily too off the bottom turn and gliding over fatter sections. The wider frame makes it easier to balance on than my other board. I would definitely recommend this board to someone who wants something fun, easy to use but still performs well. I think I got the perfect size for my experience and the 1 to 4 foot waves I'm surfing on.

Extremely nice board. Rides very nice and quick through the turns with high stability. The extra litres through the chest area aids in a fast paddling speed and easy pop-up ability. Strong quality of glassing although some cracks on the rails after a few uses.

I have two other Firewire's in my Quiver being the Dominator LFT and a Colab Mayhem model being the Mini Driver. I was eyeing off the first round of the Sci-Fi Model, and had a few mates who were surfing that model and noticed the difference in speed and similar to the Dominator how easy to paddle into the waves. I bit the bullet and bought the Sci Fi 2.0 from Boardcave and every wave I have had on it has been fantastic. Paddle Power is exceptional, easy to maneuver, plenty of drive and speed . I surf the board as a Quad using AM2 large fins. Love it...

An awesome board takes off really well and has meant my wave count is up, Flies down the line and floats over sections with ease. Ridden it as twin - I liked it responded well and didn't slide out (was small 2-3' surf)

I love this board. I have had it for about 2 years and still surf it on a pretty regular basis. Ideal for fuller less powerful waves or waves that are hard to paddle into. Once up and riding it will handle anything and turns like a much shorter board.

Fantastic paddle power and stability making it easy to catch mush or small summer waves. Once youre up the narrow tail kicks in and it's surprisingly easy to turn. The timbertech finish can make it difficult to spot cracks and developing weaknesses in the board.

Great board! Very easy to paddle, highly maneuverable and versatile shape in poor or average conditions. Picks up speed quickly and glides over flat spots due to the bottom contours, low rocker and high volume while feeling more agile through turns than the Baked Potato. Very well made, using more eco-friendly materials which also feels good underfoot and looks great as well which is a bonus. Fun board which excels in summer slop, highly recommended!
