I decided to go with the RTT because i had bought a Gary Mcneill Entity Pin last year and from the first wave i got fell in love with the board and figured i'd try some more of Garys models The RTT took a few surfs to feel comfortable with. On my fourth surf i really clicked with it and haven't turned back. The thing feels like it doesnt paddle as fast as i think it does but i have got into every wave i have paddled for so no complaints there. The speed is mind blowing. I had it out at Alex over the last swell and it was blowing through sections.. been surfing it on points and beachies and it goes great and feels really stable underfoot. I got the Flax construction which looks awesome and goes great. I'd have got a thicker deck glassing next time as im over 100kg's, i had forgot to ask. I also got Garys Keel Fins which i am going to put back in soon and have a play around with them.. I ended up putting in the Al Merrick Keels that i own on the second session and it felt right for me and they have been in ever since. I would not let this board go, its just a great board to have in the quiver like the entity is..

Hard to get used to this board. So different experience from all the other reviews. Keel fins made it boggy so had to change straight away. Can’t believe everyone’s giving it 5 stars for paddling? I normally ride a hypto krypto and that is way easier. Board is bloody heavy also certainly has momentum but can’t really flick it around. I’ll stick with it because I do like the board but I’m some what a little disappointed. Sorry Gary

Very happy with the RTT. I always travel with it. It has a versatile range, flat enough rocker to get speed in small gutless waves and enough hold to surf powerful hollow waves. There is a pivot/release point where the channel exits the rail at the tail. You can really engage this spot for some snappier turns. Upright or keel fins, works with both, mix it up for a change of feeling.I normally leave in futures K2s. If it were to break, I’d replace it, same shape, same dimensions.

Good board, still working out which fins are better but otherwise paddles well and gets up and goes

Peak Twin! Better wrapped in flax than plastic for sure. I really can't see how anyone could design a better twin. I've been surfing Middleton fairly consistently and even with the appalling conditions this Summer it has been super fun. The board builds up speed quickly and seems to be able to take off on marginal waves or foam so you can get a head start on some of the quick and little rights that come up. I would say it comes down to the flat rocker, width and the Torus channel. I've played around with upright fins and keels and have found both good. It does go well on bigger, cleaner spots too and has given me the confidence to have a crack at them. Still at the frothing grom stage as a surfer but have found this board a really good step up from a 6'4" 41L Bourton quad. It pushes me to learn something new every time I paddle out and I never get sick of taking it into the brine. No qualms with this one, just an all round amazing board by an Australian master craftsperson. Go flax and bio resin, you'll love it.

This board is so quick that, coming off 2+1s and thrusters, I still don't have it under control. It wants to go faster and turn tighter than I can keep up with but once you dial the liveliness in, the speed you can harness is something else. This is the smallest board I own and also required a bit of commitment to recalibrate the whole act of paddling in. I started with Rasta keels but found them too twitchy for my transition to twins, and changed to Needs upright keels which made the board that bit more predictable.

High quality manufacture and made on time. Love this board not only does it look great it has tons of speed, grip on the rail and easy to turn and holds the rail. It is surprisingly stable which makes it less twitchy while the shorter length still allows for easy speed adjustment and turns.
