I bounce between longboards and short boards, and I’m 53 years old, so although the 6’2” hypto is a lot of board for me, it means I don’t have to waste waves adjusting when I come back from riding my longboard. The hypto krypto is the ultimate longboarder’s shortboard - I love it! And I’ve surfed it in every type of condition from 1ft onshore beach break grovel to double overhead reef break Rote (Indo) - very versatile. Be warned though, after riding the epoxy, it’s VERY hard to go back to regular PU boards. It’s just SO responsive.

A little bit floaty at first but performs well once you get used to the epoxy.

Good board not as durable as I had hoped but it’s a beast in 4-6foot so far. Great to paddle on as it has a lot of volume.

Really great all rounder board. Lots of paddle power but still turns really well. Works in nearly all conditions. Super good for a beginner/intermediate like me. Highly recommend.

Really lively, addictive, and my current favourite in my quiver. Can't put her down!!!! Thought initially it would feel more like a funboard. First bottom turn I felt the instant spring back from FF technology and now I am hooked. It is my daily and surprisingly performs really well. Got drive when you stand forward to get through a fat section, then when waves have more face the pin tail becomes really lively. Had no problem getting above the lip, throwing it around and pushing for airs. Best Allround board for standard waves between 1-5ft.

Super fun reliable board, helped me to improve my surfing a lot. Very easy to turn and is excellent in anything from 3-8 ft. Only critique is it can sometimes feel slow in smaller conditions. However still one of the best boards I’ve ever ridden.

The Board is a tank to start off! most durable construction i've seen in a surfboard. One time my leave broke and the next waves of the set sent the hypto sailing into the rocky shore to be battered for about 10 to 15 minutes while I swam to get it. I was shocked to find it not only in one piece but only scratched! The rails and nose had plenty of small scratches but nothing passed the epoxy into the foam! Beyond durability the board has been a great all rounder and definitely my go to for almost all conditions the last couple years. Paddles like a funboard but rides super responsive and carvey. I wouldn't say this is designed for high performance airs, it's designed for fun! For making fast and wild lines on nearly any size wave. More than anything its fun simply because you will catch more waves.

I have been riding these boards for years, I different boards and always go back to the Hypto. They paddle like a dream so you pick up heaps of waves. I ride it in beachies, points, Indo and Sumatra and have taken step up boards and never used them. The Hypto performs all sizes and is the perfect 1 board quiver. Make sure you don't buy to big or you wont like it, use the Hayden Shapes chart and buy the board for your weight, plant your back foot as far as you can go and it will light up.

Well I've just ridden this the one time being out an average 2-3 ft beachbreak and was not expecting to be able to feel a difference to my usual type of board but i have to say I felt a major difference straight up. I felt as though the Hypto just paddled really well and the instant hold and glide from take off was obvious. See I usually ride wide tail boards that tend to slide a little and I also have my back foot further up the board (kook) and thought a narrower rounded pin would help me gain speed and I think it works. Early days I know and I must say on my forehand it felt unreal backhand however felt "sticky" but this is a thruster so that maybe why. Might try it with a smaller centre fin and see what it does.
