I've had a black box, black box 2 and now the black box 3 all around the 28 litre mark. I missed the memo that I was meant to buy the BB3 in a slightly higher volume than the previous generations and bought the same vol as the last 2. I was a little worried that i had bought it too short but I've taken in out in a range of sizes from 2ft slop to 4ft pits. It goes great in all conditions though perhaps feels a bit squirrelly in the bigger stuff. The board does what you want when you want. Would buy another but probably at the 29ltr mark.

Best description is that it’s very lively, it increases the fun level of surfing in smaller waves. Before I got my first epoxy or Hybrid type of construction, I was concerned it would not slice through the water on rail like a PU board BUT the Blakbox 3 had an amazing first impression and I just love how it can be both light and excited in less than ideal conditions yet still carve on rail like a full performance board. It’s my go to summer board this year

Such a fun board for sunny coast beach break slop. Generates speed off nothing. It’s so light with the hyfi that you can go a bigger board and still rip it around like a small board. My goto board up to 5ft

great board for stability on take off and easy to turn. So much fun to ride on head high days. If you're a bit lanky and boney like me, you may find deck compressions an issue.

Great all-rounder board, with a curvy outline that also makes it a good board for better conditions. The HYFI construction has great durability. I love the release and playfulness that I get out of the design, specially on my backhand. Would definitely recommend the JS FCS2 fin template to be ridden with it. If I had to get another one, I would probably go for a smaller size though, as I am small lighter guy.
