The diamond dancer had a whole lot of speed straight away as well as a really skatey kind of feel which was a little weird at first. After a few waves however, I was really enjoying myself. I first rode it as a thruster at a shallow reef break in fun 4ft(ish) and straight from the take off the speed the board had would just shoot you off down the line which made it really easy to make/get around faster sections and allow for big turns straight off the bat. I felt a good amount of drive through bottom turns and found the board more than capable of getting up to and letting loose in the lip. Paddles really well, super fast, manoeuvrable, bit of a quiver killer once you get used to the skatey feel that comes with the wide deck in a shorter board.
