Worth every cent!!! I’m able to push as hard as possible to draw out turns as much as possible, very forgiving and generates plenty of speed when in the pocket. Absolutely loving it. Highly recommend for people who want to excel in those conditions when it’s well overhead and want a firm grip to the surface of the wave.

Great Board but takes a bit of getting used to. I didn’t mesh with this board for a while, it doesn’t really surf like a shortboard, but is more agile than a step up and paddles almost like a fish. If you want to love this board you will eventually, but if you want a board that will feel familiar off the rack then this may not be for you. It handles late drops comfortably and never skips out during turns. If I ordered again I would probably go an inch longer but same length and width for a fraction more foam to offset the heavier glass job and help with paddling.

Great semi step up. I don't surf huge waves but it get's powerful in WA. Anything chest to double overhead it gets you in early and feels gunny. it almost surfs more like a snowboard in that you surf it off the rails more and it just turns for you then you jam your foot on the tail at the end of your turn so it takes some getting used to. Great board, you just have to think more about where your putting your weight else you kook it a bit more...

Purchased this board as a step up for using here in Western Australia. Have only surfed the board a couple of times but in great waves in our NW and over at Rottnest Island. Initial impressions - the board has great paddling power and gets into waves really well as you'd expect (it's 3" think). Plenty of drive off the bottom, and good down the line speed. At 6"6" feels like a 6"8" or longer board and it is not as loose as I was expecting, but it's still early days. At 58 you can't expect to be surfing like JJF anyway, but nothing wrong with trying. Overall really please with the purchase and looking forward to continuing testing it out in our solid WA conditions.

Ride with JJF techflex futures in medium. In smaller surf feels smooth and controlled but no spark to it. As soon as it is overhead with a little more push the board comes to life and really takes on its own personality. I am a massive fan, I ride the gremlin and phantom as well and between the three I am a very pleased customer. This board itself is great once it starts getting a little bigger and heavier.

Believe the hype... this board is everything that other folks say about it and more. I was skeptical when I first heard about this board but it's the board you want when the waves start to pump. My ghost is 1" longer, 1/4" wider and 1/16" thicker than my regular shortboard with 2L more volume. The board paddles super fast and feels both loose and controlled at the same time. Best ridden in heavy beachies or reef passes. Doesn't like lumpy or onshore conditions. I wouldn't do a surf trip without one!

I got this board off the rack for winter surf at my local. The first thing that's unique is how the foam is brought forward up into the nose. More than your average HPSB but looking at the foil it's well balanced overall. Riding: the first thing you notice is its paddle power. Great for spots with long paddles and gets you into waves better than most HPSB boards. If I got this custom, I would definitely drop the thickness by 1/4" but honestly, once surfing off the tail it's easy to forget about. The tail rocker and foil through the back half are refined and makes the ride smooth and maneuverable. I've ridden it from chest to overhead and it's a solid ride that makes you feel confident. I rode Futures JJF and Captn. Fin Dane fins and while the Dane fin is solid and predictable, the JJF fins feel freer and responsive. Overall, it's a nice good wave board that can handle power.
