Bought the Simon Mollusc Robo as my age appropriate board. I've had 2 surf's on it now and it's blown my mind. Paddles well, super fast on the face and turns easily. LOVE IT

Great all rounder, been on heaps of Bali trips loves a clean open face, chuck a smaller back fin in under 6’ and it will loosen up, go a bigger fin if you’ve got the clinkers for the bigger stuff !

I absolutely love this board! I mainly surf smaller waves and this board paddles on to anything. It feels really stable under my feet and manoeuvres so easy. This was my first short board and my surfing has progressed so much because of this board. From being an advanced beginner when I purchased this board I’m now at (early) intermediate level. This board really has been as good as I hoped it to be. I’m currently riding it as a quad which is super fun.

This is just the perfect board for me! I was looking for a board to replace my beginner softboard and started to try the ones in the surf school. They all looked so "violent"!! With sharp and pointed noses and so narrow. I could'n stop thinking about my wipeouts with those boards, it just terrified me. Then I rented an Hydroshort and it was dreamy! Is the most smooth ride I've done yet she goes fast and my spot has some rough waves. So easy to paddle! She enters the waves and lets you know you are save and in charge. I didn't even know I was able to surf that level! Never thoutght that I knew how to manouver a surfboard. The Hydroshort is like my soulmate.

This is my go to board when I wanna surf bigger and steeper waves. I get launched into them easy with its easy paddling capability. The shape can handle steep drops and the outline is great for turns and cuts closer to a pro model than a fun shape but with both advantages.

The Pyzel Phantom is a versatile board. It rides incredible in smaller conditions. I did manage to dial the board using large Hayden Shape fins and adjusting my take off for larger, more powerful surf for example 2.5-3m Margaret River. I'd highly recommend this board for someone transitioning into shortboards or someone that doesn't have the money to buy multiple boards with average waves Overall, I really enjoy the board

I bought this as a board that would be easier to paddle as I'm getting older. It works exceptionally well in waves over 2 feet but struggles (like most short boards) in mush under 2 feet. When the surf picks up is comes into its own. Stable and still loose. Great board for smaller waves.

This board is quicker than a 5 legged dog! I surfed this amazing board a while ago on a trip to Fiji. I've never had the same memorable feeling on another board again. The modern twin fin system creates a looseness, gliding over the water like a dill pickle slipping out of a roll! The turns are smooth and drawn back and the board sits on the water nicely providing for an easy paddle. I love the feeling of it and the dynamic shape. I'd happily trade in my sister for this stick!

I purchased my first Phantom (rounded square ) after riding AM Sampler models, board felt dependable right away, but sweet spot riding it took around 2 weeks, getting used to new rails and wide point forward. After this learning curve found I could push board as hard as I wanted and it would respond in kind, The board paddles extremely well with the wide point forward, allowing easy entry, and confidence with late takeoffs. I have to say these are the best feeling rails I’ve ever had on a board, and will hold in well over head height and more. I had fcs in my board and matched the board with John Pyzel medium FCS fins. I rode this board for 18months have re-purchased another one in 5’10 stock dims and loving it just as much. I will be ordering a 5’11 again soon in rounded pin version as a step up, also have a 6’1 ghost in the quiver. Have to give a huge thumbs up, first board was surfed hard for 18 months and still looks fresh and has held up really well, I’ve put less experienced mates onto the phantom and it’s smoothed out there surfing and has given them confidence to push harder. Gotta give @John Pyzel 2 thumbs up
