This board has been such a good time! bought it recently from the Boardcave outlet and haven't regretted it since! It rides so smoothly through the water, and has amazing stability when taking on little 6.5 ft waves. So much fun, and will be coming back very soon!

I love this board. My previous step-up was a locally shaped 6'4" 34L board. Goes great when conditions are nice but was finding paddle power and early entries a challenge as I get a little older and heavier. Also needed something to navigate larger beach break conditions. My new 6'6" Sweet Spot addresses all these concerns. Had about a dozen surfs on it. Futures plugs and got a 5-set of F8's for this board. The board performs nicely as a thruster in 2-3ft+, and I've found it works well as a quad once comfortably overhead (liking the symmetrical foil on the F8 quad rears, first time I've tried these). Super stable and high quality board!

This board is really easy for me to paddle onto waves by myself and is really smooth to ride. It is pretty fast too, I like it alot. I still have to build my muscles up to duck dive with it. -Bronte (9)

Initially I didn’t really like the board and had to use a bunch of different fins and setups to see what worked for me which is all part of the fun. I found using it as a twin with the akia fins worked best for me to get loose and fun whereas everything else felt a bit stiff. Plenty of volume and paddle power, in hindsight I would go for more stretched out dimensions like 6’2 to make use of the single fin. Still a very fun board to use when the waves aren’t firing and you need to grovel a bit.

This board has been a welcome addition to the quiver. I love the teardrop outline as the extra width under your chest with the pulled in tail means you feel the extra paddle power yet it drives so fast down the line and draws more classic lines. I'm riding with True Ames Gary McNeil twins with a futures mini trailer. My go to whenever the waves are small.

Great board in a variety of conditions. Paddles great in the hyfi giving you that bit of extra float if you have been out of the water for a touch. Picks of great speed and fantastic in hollow reef and heavy beachies. Was put to the test 2020 winter with the awesome swell that stayed around the east coast for that long period. Love the board recommend without a doubt. Just set your rail early if possible compared to the PU model which cuts in the water a bit better. Great board to get *stoked* on yew!

The board promised much but delivered little. I've had around 7 surfs on the board and have only enjoyed one session where it felt like it went well. I'm riding it with MR twins and a small stabiliser. Maybe a fin change to a quad might help. Was a little disappointed. Recommend the black box 3 instead for the performance and versatility.

I've had a black box, black box 2 and now the black box 3 all around the 28 litre mark. I missed the memo that I was meant to buy the BB3 in a slightly higher volume than the previous generations and bought the same vol as the last 2. I was a little worried that i had bought it too short but I've taken in out in a range of sizes from 2ft slop to 4ft pits. It goes great in all conditions though perhaps feels a bit squirrelly in the bigger stuff. The board does what you want when you want. Would buy another but probably at the 29ltr mark.

My favourite board I’ve owned so far. Plenty of energy, responsive and fast. Best waves on it have been in the 3-4 foot range where it has been very comfortable on the face (not an air surfer). Build quality was great- took far more beatings than I would’ve expected from a board. Would easily go another one, especially in the hyfi.

Paddles great and rail to rail surfing is smooth and forgiving but turning really depends on fin configuration and set up plus placement but that’s the fun journey of surfing a sea gypsy cheers
