Hi, brought a skeleton Key at Rip Curl Coolangata the only difference with my current board and the skelly is its volume, current 26.6 vol and the skeel 27.29. Manage to surf the skelly at Schnappers and green mount it felt heavy but I loved the ease it gave when paddling. Any advise you can provide ref the skelly would be appreciated, otherwise love my new buy

Hi Marc. The skeleton key is a great board for Gold Coast points and beachies. This board will allow you to progress your surfing in small to medium sized waves. You can ride the skeleton key a little shorter than your standard shortboard as it has a wider outline and is a little thicker than a high performance shortboard.

I ride a 6'6" JS Revolution short board, a 6'2" Pipedream pinga fish and a 6'8" Burton silver bullet for bigger waves. Surf in Perth mainly sometimes south and north. Looking to replace the JS. I'm 6'5" 100kg and maybe slightly better than intermediate ability. What do you recommend in skeleton key?

Hey there! I would recommend going with the 6'4 x 22 x 3 – 42.76L You could go with custom dimensions if you were looking to go for a bit more length. If you were chasing another 6'6 I would recommend a 6'6 x 22 x 2 7/8 which would have roughly 42 – 42.5 litres

Hi there
I have just purchased a 5'10 skeleton key, what size fins would you recommend for this board ? I weigh about 80kg and run fcs2 setup

Hi John, I would go with a size medium. The FCS II accelerators will work really well with this board. You can check them out and order here, shipping will be FREE ~ http://www.boardcave.com.au/surf-brand/fcs-surfboard-fins/product/fcs-ii-accelerator-pc-carbon-medium/

Hi Carl,
Extra strong is 4 + 4 on top and 4 on the bottom
Bullet proof is 4 + 4 on top and 4 + 4 on the bottom

Hi guys ,
Currently ride , among others, 6'2 black diamond and really appreciate the volume as a 83kg ,1-2 times a week surfer , best board I've had in 30+ years of surfing .
Time to replace , would a SK give same paddle ease if I were to jump up to a 6'3 or 6'4.

Hi Adam, great to hear you've been loving the skeleton key! I would recommend the 6'3 skeleton key at 37.5 litres for you based on the info you've provided. The skeleton key is meant to be ridden slightly bigger than the black diamond, it doesn't have quite as much width up around the nose of the board but it's still an easy board to paddle.
