The HS Cannon is best for fun performance surfing with volume in all the right places. The extra width through the upper half of the board and nose offers an easy paddle and is great for in the barrel and getting down the face of waves early. Hi. I am 5'7" tall, 70kg weight. I am an experienced surfer, but at 58 years old, am slow to my feet these days. I surf several times a week on a short SUP, plus an old 6'2 MR twinfin here at Maroubra. What Canon dimensions would you recommend? Thanks, Steve.

Hi Stephen, good to hear from you. Do you plan on surfing this board as an everyday option. The 6' 6" by 20 3/4" by 2 7/8" with 40.61 will have plenty of volume and be good to paddle and get onto waves. Let me know if it's an everyday option your looking for? We can also organise a custom for you if you would like a little extra literage for more stability.

Everyday? I intend to surf on the Canon several surfs per week. Since I'm a compact build, I don't want a board that's too big for me to turn. I still want to old-school power surf. But I do need the time to get to my feet.

Hi Stephen, the 6'6 cannon will have plenty of volume for you, allowing you to get to your feet early. You could also get away with surfing the 6'4 which will be a little easier to manoeuvre given that it is shorter in length and slightly skinnier. The 6'4 will still also have plenty of volume for you.

Hi, I'm 179cm & 72kgs I'm an average surfer def not a pro and def not a kook! I'm 43 what size cannon would you recommend?

Hi Matt Flannagan I would recommend the 5'10 x 19 3/4 x 2 3/4 which has 33 litres of volume. These dimensions will have plenty of volume for you but still have you powering through turns.

I've marked the board down on Maneuverability but that is to be expected from a single fin. As far as comparing it with other singles I would rate it a 5. I took the board with me to Bali and loved how it went on the reefs around Kuta but it really went well at Balian on the bigger days. Take off is easy and it has an incedible amount of drive through the wally sections. It also performs really well on some of our local, less powerful breaks. I'm extremely happy with all aspects of this board. Oh, and it looks really cool. :-)
