Looking at getting two boards for small and medium days on the Sunny Coast. I'm interested in getting a 5'4 V3 rocket for smaller days and either a 5'7 V2 grinder or V2 shortboard for medium days. Which V2 would you recommend seeing that we don't get great waves here very often?

Hi Mark, I would recommend going with the V2 grinder which is going to perform better as an every day option for waves around waist to head height. The V2 grinder is more of a performance groveller so it would suit the Sunny Coast waves more often than the V2 shortboard.

Hi Adam, The V3 rocket is gojng to be very similar to your current rocket model. I would go for the V3 rocket in the 6'0 dimensions which has slightly more volume than your current rocket model to help with paddle power and getting into waves a little earlier. The V2 grinder is going to be a great performance board for small – medium sized waves. I would go for the V2 grinder in the 6'1 dimensions. I would personally lean more towards the V3 rocket for Sunshine Coast waves.

Successfully making runs down the line and out of the barrel on fast pumping beach breaks, making sections I never made in the past. In my experience it's definitely less of a front foot board, which is how I usually ride. But found it forgiving on my first couple of sessions.
