Every Australian order that goes out gets picked, packed and dispatched from our warehouse in Burleigh Heads. Every delivery that comes in gets counted, checked and put away properly. That's the job.

You'll work alongside our other operations team members. We're after someone reliable, good with computers, and careful with detail. You don't need years of experience. If you learn fast and take pride in getting things right, we'll teach you the rest.

The hours

Casual, on an ongoing roster. Shifts are a minimum of four hours. Monday is our biggest dispatch day, so we need you available then without fail. Early starts are part of the role, so it suits someone who's happy to be on deck before the day gets going. Hours will be across Monday to Friday and you can start early if that works for you.

What you'll be doing

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch
• Printing labels and booking couriers in our shipping software
• Getting orders out the door before daily courier cut-offs
• Receiving incoming stock: counting it, checking it against the purchase order, reporting damage or short shipments
• Putting stock away and keeping the warehouse tidy
• Updating stock levels in our inventory system
• Stocktakes and cycle counts
• Flagging problems early, before they become someone else's problem

What we're looking for

• Fast learner. This is the big one. Our inventory system is built in-house, so nobody walks in already knowing it. Being quick on new software matters more to us than what you've used before.
• Accurate. A wrong item or wrong address costs us money and a lot of time to unpick.
• Reliable and on time. Couriers don't wait.
• Follows a process, but thinks. You stick to the checklist, and use common sense when something doesn't scan or a system plays up.
• Speaks up. If stock turns up damaged or a count is out, we want to hear about it straight away.
• Owns their work. You double-check yourself rather than waiting to be checked.
• Calm when it's busy. New product drops and end-of-season sales get hectic.

Experience that helps, but isn't essential

• Warehouse, retail stockroom or logistics work: receiving, picking, packing or inventory control
• Any courier or label platform (ShipStation, Sendle, Australia Post eParcel or similar)
• Any stock system: WMS, POS or ERP (Cin7, Unleashed, NetSuite, Shopify back end)
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, barcode scanners, and a few screens open at once

The physical side

Manual handling, and on your feet for most of the shift. Boards are more awkward than they are heavy, and they're fragile, so they need careful handling more than brute strength. Regular lifting up to 30kg

Where this can go

Boardcave is growing, and we run a small, sharp team. We use automation and AI tools to take care of the repetitive work, which means the people here spend their time on the parts of the job that actually need a person. You'll pick up systems and ways of working that most warehouse jobs don't teach.

For the right person, there's real room to grow. We'd much rather move someone up who already knows how we work than hire in from outside.
