HKII

The HKII is Chilli's update of the much-loved Hot Knife, reworked into a well-rounded step-down shortboard. It is very user-friendly and forgiving across all kinds of conditions, while still carrying speed and turning sharply when the wave allows.

The front half keeps a classic, slightly fuller shortboard outline. Chilli removed the hip through the fins for a smoother line rail to rail, and the straighter rail through the tail adds speed, finishing in a pulled-in swallow tail for tight transitions in the pocket.

A moderately flat entry rocker runs into a smooth exit, so it holds speed across flat sections. Underneath, a single concave through the nose becomes a double under the feet and blends into vee through the tail: quick off the take-off, forgiving rail to rail, and in control as you finish your turns.

Available in PU, EPS Twin Tech and Carbon Black Spice, as a thruster with FCS II or Futures. Chilli recommends a raked fin template, such as the FCS II Carver or Futures Raked families.
