Twin Fin surfboard reviews

Bro. this board is insane. it took about a week to figure out but then it kinda just clicks with you, I rode it for a while as a straight twinny (no baby fin) and it was the fasts board ever, but as i wanted to push through turns or really rip I felt it was sliding out and didn't hold when it was bit bigger, so I chucked the baby stabiliser in and holy sh*t did it go off! this board has the feel of a twinny but when you really want to rip you can and especially with the stabiliser when its bit bigger or pushier it goes insane. like its fast, drivey, paddles a treat, good for airs, its just my kip and caboodle. took it to Bali as well and it was just the best, wouldn't have any other board under my feet.

This is easily one of the most fun boards I’ve had. I’ve surfed it in punchy head high reef break to mushy shore break. It will perform well in softer conditions though it is narrower than you might think. It comes to life in hollow waves. The v out the back combined with twin set up means it’s very lose and will let you move it round really easily. It’s got enough rocker to make steep drops but not too much to take the speed out of it. Criticisms would be it is very lightly glassed and the v out the back can mean you won’t get the speed you might normally get out of your first bottom turn. All round really fun.

If you're looking for a twin fin style board that rides similar to a shortboard this is the board for you! I found it really really fast and drivey, especially off bottom turns. The board is super easy to put on rail as it has a pronounced vee concave through the tail. The rails are also quite full and well rounded giving the board plenty of forgiveness. There's quite a bit of rocker in the nose which is good if you plan on riding this board even if the waves are a little steeper of you might be scooping into waves late. That said, it still paddles pretty well as there's a good amount of foam under the chest area. Really fun board in beach breaks that aren't super hollow and nicely lined up point breaks. I rode this board with the Futures Akila Aipa twin set with a T1 trailer to give me more control through turns and more drive off the bottom. This setup works really well with this board.
