Really easy to paddle and fun in smaller swell. Really good board to go down to as someone’s first short board after a mini mal or similar as you don’t lose your paddle power

A fast responsive board off the mark in waves anywhere up to 5ft. Sits comfortably in the bowl or turns well enough to quickly get you back into the white-water on longer sections

Bought it as a step up board for when paddle power is needed. Feels safe when taking off late and driving off the bottom. My next board will definitely be another Pyzel.

I found the Libtech version better as it has a pulled in tail and less tail volume and virtually indestructible. When its snmall I ride it with two large side fins and a nubster, heaps of fun. Have ridden it at twice over head 5 Fins handled awesome very responsive for a groveller. Be my favorite board from the first wave.

Very fast board that will get through the fat sections ,float over the crumbly sections and then drive on down to pull a screamer cut back.
My wave count has gone up since riding this board.

First new board after a 10 year break from surfing. Opted for the extra thickness (34L rather than 32L) to assist with paddle power. Huge improvement from my old short board (which was thinner and narrower, but same length).

I wasn't too sure about getting this board mainly cause of the bold nose, so i almost bought the Sci-Fi instead but after doing a lot of online research i decided to get it and i haven't looked back since.
i use it pretty much everyday even in small surf from 1 to 2 foot, as long as the waves are a bit punchy this board goes really well, it flies down the line with very little effort and it pivots pretty well too. it is recommended playing around with fins combining different sets in the quad rears.

Had a great first session on this board. While waves had some size and power conditions were a bit bumpy but the board performed extremely well. I bought it as a step up for planned Indo trip at the end of the year (now canned) and wanted some extra paddle power for longer sessions in the water.
Looking forward to trying it on some better quality waves.

This is my 2nd hyfi monstabox, I first purchased a 6’1 which was awesome, but now ima little older ( but still have manoeuvres left in me) I opted for a little extra volume in the 6’4. I have to say, I have 8 boards in my quiver and this is my new “go to”. The monstabox just does everything right, paddle power in the hyfi, manoeuvrability plus, feels so good under your feet and under your arm. Love this board so much, even with the extra float, it’s so easy to confidently dig the rail in on a bottom turn with confidence that your not going to skip out with the speed. You don’t have to second guess how it will handle, it just does
