I’ve been riding a lot of hybrid shapes since I got older, fatter and lazier but I was looking for more of a traditional board for when the waves got good on the beachies. This thing goes Exactly as advertised, a good traditional short board shape for a bigger guy.

Great versatile board with lots of volume and paddle power for a bigger surfer. Flat Rocker can make it a bit challenging for steeper take offs and can lacks a bit of move ability of a more performance board, but I’m no Kelly slater so it’s still a really fun board. A very good choice for someone who wants to transition from longboard to short board.

Great versatile board for a bigger surfer although can feel a little boxie when trying to turn. Best on a fatter, open face wave with lots of room to do drawn out turns.

great board for stability on take off and easy to turn. So much fun to ride on head high days. If you're a bit lanky and boney like me, you may find deck compressions an issue.

Little bit of how ya going with this board! Picked up one of these after sending my old JS HyFi off for trade in for a better step up board when winter rolled in, missed it every day since so went back and got one from a local store. Such a sick little weapon! Paddle power lacks a bit but to be honest it depends on the conditions, especially when the surfs got a bit of chop in it or is packing some extra size a little North of 3 feet. The HyFi's speed and responsive whip on a wave is sick and if you're into airs and tight turns to hit lip, this things built for exactly that. Best thing about this board is it's a really fun board to surf on, plain and simple. Really forgiving and has a nice wide footprint on the tail and is just a delight to surf in clean conditions. Dead easy to get on waves, plenty buoyant without being boaty too. Would highly recommend to anyone who's after something fast and responsive and who's been surfing for a couple years and want's something for those smaller clean spring/summer days. Missed mine so much I didn't hesitate to get another!

Didn’t paddle as well as I would have liked/relative to other boards in my quiver, possibly due to the Torus channel. Once on the wave it’s fine. Surfs great on the backhand for a twin fin, seems to have a lot of ‘grip’ and not slide out too much! Takes abit if adjusting to get used to the channel but after a few surfs its epic.

This is by far the most fun board I've ever owned, surfed it in 2 foot beach break slush to 5 foot clean point breaks and it rips in every condition. Easy to paddle, super snappy and holds the rail really nice when you need it.

Such a great board! Guys at MT Woodgee are fantastic (and amazing new coffee). I’ve been searching for a daily and stumbled across the Hurricane. I have custom dims, absolutely love this board. Bang for buck is unreal. Will probably buy it again once I’m ready for a freshie.

Absolutely love this board goes good in anything, easy to paddle and generate speed. I ride this mostly on softer beach breaks and it’s an extremely forgiving board to ride. Improved my surfing a lot. Highly recommend
