As a surfer who has some experience but isn't the greatest, I really enjoyed this board. This board was very easy to paddle and as a result I started catching more waves. The speed on this thing is unreal and as a result of extra speed I was having so much fun. The stability was amazing so I found my takeoff being much easier.

This board is very fast and extremely manoeuvrable and is fast to get to another section. If you ever want a board for them dreamy long waves here is my pick.

Awesome board for a bigger surfer!
Lots of paddle power and stability, great fun all rounder board.
Good movability considering chunky rails and pin tail.

This board is fast. As soon as I rode this for the first time, it was different and I’ve never felt like that before. I thought this works only in good conditions, but actually it’s been working pretty good in any conditions so far. I love this board and it's improved my skills a lot. Definitely recommend for intermediate surfers who are willing to improve and get speed.

Super fun board, being on the heavy side the extra volume works very well. but will still perform when you throw it around. Great summer board but also handles bigger waves no problem, a great all rounder.

Having only really ridden flat rocker grovellers (due to the waves I mostly surf)I thought I would upgrade to a higher performance board when the waves actually got good here. Was pleasantly surprised with how easy a board with a little rocker in the right places would turn on a wave with some juice.
Mines a custom but really happy with the way it surfs. Super easy to turn despite my high volume and it paddles pretty well too. Looking forward to taking it to indo.

I wanted a board that was an everyday small surf go-to and the Short Round is perfect. It has plenty of paddle power and turns on a dime despite being 6'3" and 40L. I need a bit of extra float so I added a bit more thickness with the help of Todd from Boardcave and the dims don't compromise performance in all the conditions I surf. Service is 1st class; the board arrived with a ding in the nose from the carrier and Boardcave replaced with out question. I've it now for over 12 months and still really enjoy the Short Round.

I was looking for a board for months, coming into the winter swell I was still riding my only board, a second hand yet top condition JS HYFI BLack Box 2 at 5’7 and 27L.
I looked for a long while, wanting to try something new after being a loyal member of the DHD army for years I had heard good things about Chilli surfboards.
I was tossing it up between an A2 and a Faded, ultimate picking the A2 based on the boards spec and shape, as well as not having a 6oz glassing making the Faded a tiny bit heavier.
My first surf was in solid conditions around a 2.0m swell on an ESE and a mate and I went to an off the beaten track spot named Seldoms in Perth’s North.
The board went really well and this was the first time I had surfed a board above 27L in over 5 years. At first I felt the volume, it was unusual due to the fact I hadn’t surf a 6ft board in a long while, but it also made me feel more confident on my front foot with extra foam under the feet.
Drawing that initial line generating speed was almost too easy, the medium rail have good hold on long drawn out turns and the single concave and pinched in squash tail make it easy to push for a more fluid release when you want to go full bottle, carving or off the lip.
I use MF FCS 2 fins in Medium.
All round the board is really good and performs in decent 2-6ft it’s at its peak. Recently surfed this board at 3-5ft Redgate and it held well in the pocket and was responsive.
Only thing I would critique is the foam. Not sure why but it pressure dings more so than any DHD I’ve ever owned it’s a stock 4x4x4.
