Christenson Surfboards is the work of Southern Californian shaper Chris Christenson, who apprenticed under legends Dick Brewer and Skip Frye before developing a style entirely his own. Christenson lives by the philosophy of having "many arrows in the quiver," shaping everything from traditional fish and refined longboards to high-performance shortboards, step-ups, and heavy-water guns.
His boards have been trusted in some of the world's heaviest surf, with riders like Greg Long, Tom Lowe, and Ian Walsh earning XXL Big Wave Award nominations on his designs. Christenson has also mentored the next generation of shapers, including Josh Hall, Michael Miller, and Jeff McCallum, passing down principles of design discipline and craft.
