Matt Penn Surfboards has come a long way since the early days in a small factory in Dee Why NSW. Matt Penn was the shaper behind Insight Surfboards, working closely with Kai Otton, Tim Taplin and Jack Perry and the Insight Team to refine their boards. Matt Penn Surfboards have a large range of surfboard models for all surf conditions, from their well known high performance hybrid concept models like the X Wing Gold, and the XW-4, which both go well in small to medium sized waves.Matt Penn Designs have a large range of performance shortboards including the Lucky 7, R Nine and The Crow. All these models have been designed and refined over the years for optimum high performance surfing. Other popular shortboard performance models designed by Matt Penn include the Hell Cat and Sub Zero and the newly refined Matt Penn RPM X, with its small wave high-performance version the RPM XG. Matt also has you covered if you enjoy traveling and surfing the bigger stuff, the sports car of the collection is the Matt Penn Premier. Matt has developed his shapes over many years with the help of many leading shapers located around the Northern Beaches in Sydney, working with well-known names like Greg Webber, the founder behind Webber Surfboards.
