The Monsta Easy Rider takes JS Industries' flagship high-performance shortboard and gives it Easy Rider dimensions. JS developed the Easy Rider specs over a year of riding alongside Occy and Parko, for surfers who want easy paddling and wave count without giving up a performance board. The extra foam sits under the chest, while the rail stays slightly lower so the board still responds and turns at speed. The dims are not simply scaled up from the standard Monsta; they are based on team favourites tuned by JS and Luke Egan.
Underneath it is the new Monsta. The medium rocker runs in a smooth, continuous curve, a little flatter than the Golden Child or FMN3 and more defined than the Xero Gravity, giving a generous sweet spot for control in big turns with clean release off the lip. Medium rails keep it forgiving when conditions are less than ideal.
A moderate single to double concave, sitting between the shallower Golden Child and FMN3 and the deeper Monsta 10 and Xero Gravity, provides lift and water flow from under the front foot through the fins.
Available in PU and Carbotune. The squash tail comes as a thruster and the round tail as a five fin, with FCS II or Futures.
