Misfit have teamed up with Tito Lavole for his first signature model, the ERASER HEAD. It's an homage to the 1977 David Lynch horror film by the same name. It's been in development for almost 2 years and the end product is a round square tri-quad that has a hip and no channel. Years of research, development, and Tito's vision, has resulted in this lightning fast and responsive board with progressive surfing potential. It's fun, forgiving and very rideable.
It has a clean and flowing outline with a snub nose that promotes effortless transitions and also allows for you to ride shorter board lengths. It moves into a wider, almost parallel outline before continuing into a subtle hip near the fins to offer potential for tighter turns. The hip blends into a rounded square tail that offers the perfect platform for air landings while also giving you stability and drive.
The bulk of the volume is close to the stringer and along the centre panel. This distribution allows for enhanced paddling and the cushioning you need for landing airs. It transitions into a medium rail and finishes in a refined tail that has heightened responsiveness and sensitivity for your back foot.
It has a slight rolled vee in the entry to make sure there's no water catching when you're dropping in or going up the face. The shallow single concave under the front foot helps promote speed, blending into a slight double concave before going flat out of the tail.
The medium nose rocker gives you good paddle power and minimises catching on airs or big hacks. It has a low tail rocker to ensure great drive which is balanced by the single to double flat bottom.
Please note that coloured spray is an additional extra, and the board will otherwise come in a standard white colourway.
