Even though you might be getting the board for a good price, make sure the board is still in a good condition. Before making your purchase there are a few things you should check. Make sure the fin boxes aren’t broken and the screws aren’t stripped, you don’t want to be paying more than what the board is worth in repairs.

Pressure dings or small cracks can always be repaired with a good surfboard repair kit, just watch out for discolouring and water logging, since that’s something that can’t be repaired easily. Large soft sections or yellowing of the board should be avoided since this is a pretty good indication that the board is waterlogged or has been left in the sun too long and is no good.
