I got this board off the rack for winter surf at my local. The first thing that's unique is how the foam is brought forward up into the nose. More than your average HPSB but looking at the foil it's well balanced overall. Riding: the first thing you notice is its paddle power. Great for spots with long paddles and gets you into waves better than most HPSB boards. If I got this custom, I would definitely drop the thickness by 1/4" but honestly, once surfing off the tail it's easy to forget about. The tail rocker and foil through the back half are refined and makes the ride smooth and maneuverable. I've ridden it from chest to overhead and it's a solid ride that makes you feel confident. I rode Futures JJF and Captn. Fin Dane fins and while the Dane fin is solid and predictable, the JJF fins feel freer and responsive. Overall, it's a nice good wave board that can handle power.

I've surfed lots of different boards over last 20 yrs, including toothpicks of the late 90s, and the HK is a solid all-rounder. Surfed it as thruster, quad and 2 + 1, all really good fun, although I prefer it as 2 + 1 nowadays. Main thing is it's really fast, great paddle power, and still maneuverable, and excels in many ways types. Has performed well for me in sydney, bali, Maldives, samoa.... only wave I can't imagine it going great would be thick, steep slab.
Particularly great board for guys only surfing once or twice a week.

The RTT is an incredibly great board! For anyone who leans toward a preference of twins over thrusters... this is the board for you. Even if you typically ride thruster shortboards and don't think that a twin will hold as well, I'd challenge you to try the Rasta torus twin it's a very fun and versatile board that can ride exceptionally well in small surf and overhead hollow waves. This is not just a pro board that is difficult for an average surfer to ride; this board can work great for anyone who wants a lively, fun to ride board that can also rip waves if desired.

A great blend of paddle power and manoeuvrability, as an older guy refusing to go a big board this is perfect.
Early entry into the waves is always a bonus and once on your feet there are no compromises. Great on the smaller days also with enough speed and flotation to keep going.
Off to the Pacific in a fortnight, can’t wait!

Without a doubt the entity is the best board I’ve ever owned. Gary is a magician when it comes to shaping boards. I’m so impressed I can honestly say I don’t think I’ll purchase boards from anywhere else again
