Soft Top Surfboards
Whether you're learning to surf or just keen to have fun, Soft Top Surfboards, also known as Softboards or Foam Surfboards, are a fantastic choice! The extra float and forgiving stability makes them perfect to learn on. Join the craze, charge heavier and enjoy the comfort of knowing your soft surfboard isn't going to hurt to fall on or pull the fins out and slide around.
Mick Fanning Softboards and Ocean and Earth softboards offer a great range from entry level to performance shortboards. The range from up and coming Gold Coast brand Summer Vibes offer a great entry price point for beginners, or popular surfboard brands JS Industries and Haydenshapes offer softboard versions of some of their popular surfboard models. Australian brand Spooked Kooks incorporate ocean bound recycled plastic into their aesthetically pleasing range of softboards, making them a great option for surfers looking for sustainable options.
Although softboards are more durable than regular PU or epoxy surfboards, we still recommend using a surf board cover to prevent small dings and UV damage. For general storage at home, or popping the board into your car on the way to the beach, you can usually get away with a board sock. If you're using your board for travel or on roof racks, look for something more sturdy like a surf board bag, or a dedicated surf travel bag.
