I am having so much trouble finding a board at 6'0 that is at least 35.5 to 36 litres without it being really chunky on the rails and having trouble biting in floating too high in the water I need it to handle solid 5ft overseas waves want it to bite in on bottom hand turn and go vertical need at least 20.5 wide any suggestions

Hi Peter, You can modify your searches when you are on the "All Surfboards" page. In this case, I modified it to look for any boards that are 6'0 with 36L. For the type of waves you are looking to surf, I would look for something with a round tail and tapered rails…two boards that showed up that I think would be a great fit would be the R-Wing by Matt Penn and the V3 Round It by Lost.

Check them out are have a look at all the other models when you refine your search, something with catch your eye.

My idea behind getting a rare bird was to have something smaller then your high performance shortboard that can handle a step drop into a 2-5ft reef break or beachie that would enable me to get tubed whilst still having the option of using the board in below par waves. The rare bird is super fast which enables you to make it down the line past the close out section and I found it excelled on point breaks and solid reef breaks using a quad setup. Surfing a good solid 3-5ft beachie in southern WA I found that the rare bird, provided that I made the steep drop, enabled me to get barrelled a lot easier then my Pyzel Bastard.
