my question is which board to choose?
The ratskull or the nugget?
Im a 1.80 m` about 90 kg

Hi Adi,
Both the rat skull and the nugget are small wave boards.
The nugget is slightly more performance focussed with a more refined outline and pulled in round tail. If you were after a board to surf small waves with a performance approach the nugget is the board for you.
If you were looking for a board that will provide you with heaps of paddle power and stability the rat skull is a great choice.

Hi, Can you please advise what the cross over between the nugget and the shortcut is. so when the nugget tops out and the smallest the shortcut works in if i was to use either as a daily driver type board.

Hi Chris, The nugget is super versatile and can be surfed in waves 1-7 ft. This is due to the extra width up the front of the board which allows for easy paddling and helps to get into waves earlier. The pin tail on the nugget holds really well in the barrel. You could use the nugget as a 1 board quiver. The shortcut is a great board for 2-5 ft if you want to ride something with a little more volume than your super high performance shortboard. It's a little thicker and wider than most performance shortboards but will still allow you to drawn tight turns and progress your surfing.

This board is a perfect option for good surfers wanting a smaller board option for slab type beachies and reefs up to 6ft, but also who want a board that is still responsive enough that you can change your line easily in the barrel and still release the fins and do big punts! I ordered the slab 2inches shorter, 1/2 inch wider and same thickness as my go to shortboard. However, next time I won't order it wider as it's fuller nose and fuller rails overall give plenty of paddle speed and buoyancy over flat sections of the wave. But if you are an average surfer than definitely go the extra 1/4 or 1/2inch width as Jon Pyzel suggests. I got a round tail and it holds in sick in slabby barrels and it punts good too, more stable for landing airs than my Pyzel Grunt model. Sick board !

This is a great performance board of excellent quality. I did a lot of research before I picked this board and dimensions and I must say that I am really happy. It simply delivers. A really quick board which can drive even out of white wash to the open face. Great for late takeoffs and slabby beachies.

Paddles like a dream and drops in on steep sections. Fast and responsive.

Absolutely loving this board as my step up but can still take it out in all conditions. The board comes into its own when riding anything above 3 foot whether it pitching or crumbly. Great to paddle into waves and I have never had a board that feels so stable under foot.

Awesome board on its rail, bit slow on full waves compared to my Webber afterburner but beats it everywhere else. Love the extra rocker in hollow waves.

Honestly the best board I've owned! Very versatile, good in weak waves and still performs when it's solid. Basically a one board quiver.

It paddles extremely well with it being quite wide towards the nose which also helps it through flat sections. I've ridden it from 1ft surf to 5ft and it has handled well in all conditions. I love it.
