Hi Jackson, All SUPERbrand boards come with no Artwork. If you want Artwork you have to select this at STEP 5 on each board page. Email info@boardcave.com.au if you have any questions or need help with sizing. Cheers

Just wondering if SuperBrand comes with free fins when you purchase a board?

Boardcave.com November 8, 2013 at 2:30 am

Hi Sukma, yes SUPERbrand boards come with Free Performance FIns. Ignore the pop up that says fins will not be included. Email info@boardcave.com.au if you have any other questions or need help with sizing.

The glass on it could be a bit stronger, I have hot a lot of finger prints on the bottom to my stunna!!! Apart from that its a excellent bord the reminds me a lot of a 6.4 DHD that i had back in 2002….

Travis Sterpini November 8, 2015 at 5:54 am

Hi there, I'm 5"10 78 kg intermediate riding the 5"11 Toy at 27:5lt. Looking for a little more tail response and suitable for upto double overhead surf! I'm thinking the Answer in 6"1 would suit? Also a fin recommendation to suit please?

Boardcave Australia November 9, 2015 at 6:10 pm

Hey Travis, If you like how your Toy works, I would stick with the 5'11 in the Answer. You are right, the tail is a little more pulled is, and the over-all outline is a little more refined for quick snappy surfing…plus, the board will handle slightly bigger surf a little better.

Megan Peters December 30, 2015 at 1:55 am

Hi. I am interested in an all around shortboard. I surf in Guam and we have fast hollow reef breaks. Usually 2-6 ft. But will be traveling to Bali and California a couple times and would like a board that can handle bigger waves as well. I am 5'6 145lbs and intermediate/ advanced. I have been riding a 6'0 sub scortcher its just too big for quick snaps. I am drawn to the answer and burnside. What are the biggest differences between these two shapes?

Boardcave January 20, 2016 at 11:10 pm

Hi Megan, Both the answer and burnside models are great shortboards that work in the conditions you have described. Both these models are very similar with the burnside model ever so slightly more performance focussed with a narrower outline. I think a better option for you would be the answer model. I would recommend the answer in the 6'0 x 19 x 2 3/8 – 27.9 litres given that you're stepping down from a 6'0 x 20 x 2 1/2 – 32.1 sub scorcher.

The board reacted fast during turns. The tail released well when needed and held in critical conditions under pressure. A really good all rounder for waves around Margaret River and Yallingup.

Great board, has a lively skatey feel, turns on a pin top. No reflection on the board at all but i ordered with fcs2 fin system and on my 3-4 i knocked out and lost a fin simply by hitting my knee in it. I now run with a screw in the back

Good board in waves with a bit of power, anything 2/3ft and above it performs really well, fast & directional

The board goes really well. I ordered it with extra strong glassing and am really impressed with how strong it is, and the weight it adds is hardly noticeable. With this board I'd actually recommend sticking to your usual volume, even if it means going shorter than you expect. I usually get boards around 39L so I think I could've got away with the next stock size down. If you're in doubt go shorter. I'm happy with my 6'0" regardless, because it's a very easy board to catch waves on and is very fast and stable. I also prefer a larger thruster fin set, rather than quads on it (using Futures F8s).

Just as descibed, I was often out running the barrel section on typical thrusters, so this board has a nice balance and enough paddle power in 3-6ft waves.

This board is a speed demon ,loves sucky steep drops and acts like a suction cup on the wave face, paddles easy and duckdives really well considering all the volume i have in my board

Amazing board for making it on steep and late take offs. Only surfed in quad so far and loving it. Go for slightly more Liters than usual to help getting in early.

Great board! Fast and forgiving. The extra volume and wide nose makes for easy paddling.... Really comes to life in head high conditions.

Excellent paddler that gets you nicely into waves. Forgiving yet manoeuvrable. Can be surfed down on smaller or fatter waves, but it really likes it when the waves start getting overhead.

Perfect board for 1-2 foot or easy point break. This is the best board I've ever ridden out Crescent. It just flows between turns so well!!

This is probably the best board I've ever bought, so versatile! I've surfed it in everything from 1ft sloppy weak beach breaks to 4-6ft reef/point breaks and it goes so good in everything! Fast, holds on, gets on rail really well and holds all the way through roundhouses. You can really release at the end of your turns as well! Love this board!!
