The Machado Go Pad by Firewire has been created using BLOOM high performance flexible foam which is made from algae biomass. This algae is sourced from freshwater sources across the globe.

Excess algae hurts plants, animals and humans who need that ecosystem for living. In the process of making the foam they scoop up excess algae, lay it in the sun to dry and pulverize it. This reduces the use of non-renewable oil.
These pads actually have a longer durability , better shock absorption and less weight than traditional tailpads.
For the packaging they have used recycled materials, soy-based inks and a biodegradable wrapping.
