Bought this board for my son and boy is he lucky! Such a great board. It is way too small for me but it is still excellent to ride. It turns on a dime and has so much drive, you can really generate some speed very easily. The glassing job doesn’t seem to be the greatest as some cracks have appeared on the rails fairly easily. My little boy is very lucky this board is too small for me or he’d be losing his xmas present!

Fun to ride with good paddle power, makes catching waves and building up speed down the line a lot easier. Perfect board to progress your surfing.

Extremely nice board. Rides very nice and quick through the turns with high stability. The extra litres through the chest area aids in a fast paddling speed and easy pop-up ability. Strong quality of glassing although some cracks on the rails after a few uses.

I have two other Firewire's in my Quiver being the Dominator LFT and a Colab Mayhem model being the Mini Driver. I was eyeing off the first round of the Sci-Fi Model, and had a few mates who were surfing that model and noticed the difference in speed and similar to the Dominator how easy to paddle into the waves. I bit the bullet and bought the Sci Fi 2.0 from Boardcave and every wave I have had on it has been fantastic. Paddle Power is exceptional, easy to maneuver, plenty of drive and speed . I surf the board as a Quad using AM2 large fins. Love it...

Board paddles and rides great. Heaps of response off the lip and plenty of drive. I have had it for about 2 weeks so still feeling it out. Be aware though I have grace concerns for the build quality. One of the first sessions it made contact with my elbow near the nose putting a 8cm split in the glass and then after on two weeks the rear left fin box has blown out. Ripped completely out of the board with no unusual impacts. Out of my 18 years riding surfboards I’ve never ripped a fin box clean out and I’ve hit my fair share on sand/rocks/various body parts. I am currently waiting on a response from FireWire in regards to warranty covering or not.

I love this board. When my back foot is on the back of the tail paid it's insane But that is my biggest gripe. Getting my back foot all the way back every time is something I personally struggle to do. And it is a nightmare to turn with the foot 2 or 3 inches out of position. I consider this my issue, but for those looking to buy that done always have their feet positioning perfect Look for something more forgiving. But again when that foot it back it turns on a dime and so far in the month I have had it I have had some nice fast barrels I wouldn't have normally made. It's live love/hate for me. Hopefully I can get that back foot back more consistently
