Board went ok,not as much drive as expected.Got the plus glassing wich was assured was very strong upon requesting 6+4+6+4.Anyway only lasted 2 surfs as snapped clean in half on 3rd surf in 4ft waves.Disappointing stuff considering $ and 100+ day wait.Russell Berry

Got into surfing quite later on in life and wanted to find a board to move down into a short board. This was the second short board that I purchased after a longboard and I absolutely love it. It supports my upper body when paddling, with a lot of foam in that area which allows me to paddle into waves quite well. Once I get onto the wave it is very reactive. I feel like it is really progressing my surfing. Board is super light and so far very durable. So far loving this board for my skill level

If you haven’t seen one of these boards at your local you have somehow dodged a marketing machine. Probably the best all rounder board I’ve ridden. It handles fat shoulders, hollow speed tracks and gutless wind swell with ease. But I must stress if you want a high performance board for the perfect 6ft reef break, this isn’t it. It does most things well but you will always find a better performance board or a better groveller. You just won’t find one board that does both better. If you haven’t the luxury of having a rack of specialised boards than this one board can essentially take the space of four others.

I picked this board up second hand and will definitely pick up another when its done. It's really made me enjoy riding the generally smaller waves where I live and surf. Good paddle power and unloads nicely off the fins out of the bottom turn, good for snaps and cutbacks. I'd like to try a longer version in some bigger waves and see if it gave me the same results. The future flex epoxy is tough and its lasting well. My go to board for everything until it reaches my lack of ability in the big stuff. I'd recommend it to anyone. The tapered tail out of the continuous rail curve really loosens it up. I love it.

The drive through take off and into your bottom turn is the first thing you really notice with the Holy Grail, with so much volume up front this board cuts through bigger and drivier conditions extremely well. The squashed tail allows more critical turns and snaps, whilst still retaining the original sentiment of the hypto krypto. The Future Flex makes this bird feel solid under foot, which sometimes prevents you from really digging into the pocket in smaller conditions. Overall, great mix of drive and manoeuvrability especially in 4-6ft conditions.

I love my board. My regular break runs along a rock ledge and varies from being small and fat to fast and sucky. My standard board would only go well when its good and the right wave, put that with being time poor I didn't get to surf much. Started teaching my daughter on a soft top so starting having a go on it and after a while was able to surf it and have some fun on it. So my thoughts went from getting a Mal for the small days to getting a fish. What a mind field. Ended up in a surf shop looking at boards and the guy in the shop steered me to the Loot and to or one of Slaters boards. I just loved the look of the Loot though. Now deciding on size was really hard with all the info. Was recommended to go with the 5'10" just to get more waves and because I wasn't surfing all the time. But the charts said 5'8" In the end I walked around the shop with both boards under my arm and the 5"8" felt right. I remember watching the short video of the loot with Jake Kelly and someone commenting that he was barely keeping control. Fast and furious surfing. Now I know why, the board flies. From my first wave it put a smile on my face. Im only surfing small waves but from the first turn it just took off and Im looking down the line thinking I can do what ever I want with this speed and its just a crappy little wave which I could only just surf on my standard board. Hence on a half decent wave you get so much speed you have to be ready to go from one move to another. My board brings a smile to my face whenever I think about it. I love it and hang out to go for a surf. Out of the water again with sciatic. Am hanging out. Memories of how fun it will be getting back when im better. Not being able to surf makes the surf sooooo much better when you finally can. Every one who surfs is so lucky, doesn't matter what they surf on or how good they are.

I bounce between longboards and short boards, and I’m 53 years old, so although the 6’2” hypto is a lot of board for me, it means I don’t have to waste waves adjusting when I come back from riding my longboard. The hypto krypto is the ultimate longboarder’s shortboard - I love it! And I’ve surfed it in every type of condition from 1ft onshore beach break grovel to double overhead reef break Rote (Indo) - very versatile. Be warned though, after riding the epoxy, it’s VERY hard to go back to regular PU boards. It’s just SO responsive.
