Hey Nic, It is tough to give you an exact number without actually having the CAD file to go off, but I would say you will be looking somewhere around 35L give or take a little.

Boardcave Australia June 15, 2015 at 11:22 pm

Hi Nic, the volume in your board comes in at 34.16 litres which was calculated on the entity CAD file.

hey Gary do u use this page still? im trying to find out what board rasta is riding mostly in this video, the white with black rails one and if so are u still shaping that style, it seems similar to the entity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yakrY05YLfs

Hi Corey, Rasta is riding the entity in this video. The entity is still a popular model in the range. You can customise and order via the 5 easy steps above. If you're looking for the white with black rails you must select the SPC construction at step 3 above. This is the construction Rasta is riding in the video.

Carl Pawling CV2 will be better for smaller waves and will ride better as a twin. The entity will perform best as a quad or thruster. The entity is going to be a little more performance focussed than the CV2.

Hey Oliver, No the board does not come standard with the carbon rails (which is actually the SPV Construction).

Would you do an Entity at 5'10", 20, 2 5/8 in Epoxy with the carbon rails. What volume would that be (and how much extra float does the epoxy give?) and how much extra for the epoxy?

Reply

Boardcave Australia March 7, 2016 at 1:00 am

Hi Matthew, This is possible and adds an extra $300. RRP would be $895. The epoxy is a little lighter than your standard PU construction which helps a little with maneouverability. Whether a board is PU or epoxy construction it still has the same amount of volume and gives a very similar amount of float. The volume in a 5'10 x 20 x 2 5/8 would be roughly 32 – 32.5 litres.

I have a 6'6 round pin for Indo – sick board!
Wondering the volume of an everyday version – 6'0 x 20 x 2 5/8 in a swallowtail. Thanks!

Reply

Boardcave Australia May 2, 2016 at 11:08 pm

Hi Chris, a rough estimate of the 6'0 x 20 x 2 5/8 entity swallow tail would be 31.2 – 31.7 litres

Hi can I add a bit of with on a 6/2 to get 36 litres what's the dims cheers

Reply

Boardcave May 31, 2016 at 12:38 am

Hi Carl, sure can! Go with 6'2 x 20 3/8 x 2 3/4 which would be roughly 36 litres.

5'11" round pin entity so what other dimensions do i need for 34-35L?

Reply

Boardcave Australia June 29, 2016 at 10:09 pm

Hi Paul, the best dimensions to go with on the entity rounded pin tail are 5'11 x 20 3/4 x 2 3/4 – 34.59 liters.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if Gary could put a vee through the fins if I was to go ahead.

Boardcave Australia July 25, 2016 at 3:50 am

Hi Tim, Vee concave through the tail of the entity model is possible. If you would like to customise the tail concave please include details of what you want in the comments section on the checkout page.

I ride this in a quad setup. It's fast, stable, drives down the line really well, but still turns tight. Bit of extra foam under the chest and a more forward wide point allow for early entry into waves. It's a great fun board, that is perfect as a daily board, but will also work in more solid waves up to around double overhead.

My first surf on the Entity was Double OH+ on an outside bank beach break, this board caught waves easily, handled the drops, and carried speed off the bottom, both forehand and back hand like no other board I have had. It has then proceeded to do this in 2-3ft slop and clean 4ft waves, it is so good in fact that I wonder why I also purchase a Rasta Torus Twin, which I also think is amazing, but in almost any surf as lovely as I find that board this one has a combination of fishy feeling looseness and speed in a straight line and on rail control like I have never felt. This is probably the best board I have ever ridden, makes me feel like I know what I am doing on almost every wave!!!

Nice and stable paddling in... Good float and buoyancy. My aim was to find a board to bridge between a mal and a shortboard. These dimensions hit the mark for sure. I'm very happy with the outcome!

I am very satisfied with this board! The board is very fast and paddles and turns really well. I wasn't sure about ordering over the internet but really wanted a Gary McNeill board. It is exactly what I thought it would be and more. I love this board.

Beautifully shaped board! Super stable and a paddling machine. I got it as a five fin for the versatility but have been riding it mostly as a quad which gives it awesome drive.

Super fun board. Despite it's small size, it is a really drivey solid feeling board. Doesn't get up speed that quickly on flatter waves, it seems to need a hollower or bigger wave to get that tail lift happening for it to feel loose, once you have a bit of speed though, its really fast and responsive and holds a solid rail through turns. Paddles really well for a small board.

This board is great! I've bought it as an all-rounder and have not been disappointed. Paddle power is better than expected and has increased my wave count for sure. The outline is a bit different in that it's narrow enough through the nose and has some tail lift to take steeper drops but rounder through the body giving some forgiveness and drive in smaller days. On top of all that the artwork is amazing and SPC construction seems really sturdy. Thanks Gary!
