Best go to short board. Fast and easy to surf in average surf yet still has plenty of drive and hold to handle bigger waves.

Purchased this board as a step up for using here in Western Australia. Have only surfed the board a couple of times but in great waves in our NW and over at Rottnest Island. Initial impressions - the board has great paddling power and gets into waves really well as you'd expect (it's 3" think). Plenty of drive off the bottom, and good down the line speed. At 6"6" feels like a 6"8" or longer board and it is not as loose as I was expecting, but it's still early days. At 58 you can't expect to be surfing like JJF anyway, but nothing wrong with trying. Overall really please with the purchase and looking forward to continuing testing it out in our solid WA conditions.

Initially bought for a Bluff trip a year ago has now become my all-rounder. Incredible in hollow down the line waves but also works well in most conditions. A bit more rocker than I had in previous boards but it works especially in the WA power!

Within the first surf I could feel the drive off the turns without having to get used to the new board. It goes very well in head high waves. Definitely an all-rounder board as it goes well in small waves and bigger waves.

Such a fun little board. Super quick and lively if you ride it as a quad in smaller stuff but still handles really well when it gets a bit bigger if you switch to a 2+1 or thruster setup. Highly recommend it to surfers of all ability levels.

Great all round board for Victorian waves. Good volume ratio in the nose and tail to allow for nice carving turns as well as pumping through fat sections. Although the board is very capable, it feels slightly floaty in bigger waves and for tight turns, but that doesn’t compromise the fact that it is a all round board. Feels great on the backhand as well as forehand.

It was my mates board and from what I experienced when using it I loved it it was pretty easy to get onto waves and stand up on for someone who’s somewhat of a beginner and has only really surfed foamies

Bought it as a step up board for when paddle power is needed. Feels safe when taking off late and driving off the bottom. My next board will definitely be another Pyzel.

A good board to take out when the waves are small and not offering much. Paddles like a mall and is so quick getting around sections. I ride mine as a thruster but ive also taken it out as a 2+1 and it was such a different feel, good to mix up the small days and keep it really fun.

It's a fast little thing, absolutely flies down the line to beat sections. I ride it as a thruster to get a bit more control but it's designed as a quad. Feels good when the feet are placed a little forward. I'm getting a good amount of torque when twisting into oncoming lips. I've smashed it into my shin a couple times, and had to get the rail repaired once already. It feels like a sleek race car but I could possible have gone bigger and wider for a bit more stability and paddle power. The outline is sexy as, and I love riding it.
