The drive through take off and into your bottom turn is the first thing you really notice with the Holy Grail, with so much volume up front this board cuts through bigger and drivier conditions extremely well. The squashed tail allows more critical turns and snaps, whilst still retaining the original sentiment of the hypto krypto. The Future Flex makes this bird feel solid under foot, which sometimes prevents you from really digging into the pocket in smaller conditions. Overall, great mix of drive and manoeuvrability especially in 4-6ft conditions.

Have been surfing for over 30 years and this one of the best boards I have ridden. The A2 has speed on tap and is so responsive under foot. From beach breaks to heavy slabs. I have not found a wave his board does not like.

It's easy to inflate any model to larger dims, but another thing altogether, for it to remain nimble, responsive and forgiving. For me, this board does just that. Like so many of us, I've long since felt relegated to riding hybrids, or fishy, wide nose, lower rockered boards.Crowds, getting older, a little too much good living (along with a few too many extra lbs) as well as the fact that I never was a Pro, or a hot shot surfer, have combined to make it difficult to continue riding modern Pro-formance-shortboard designs. With the El Patron, I feel I can once again enjoy riding this type of board. El Patron allows me to confidently navigate a crowded lineup and surf at the best of my personal ability. El Patron is primarily based off of a couple higher volume (wider/thicker) quivers built for Kolohe Andino, where he demanded they "still carve and turn like a thinner board". Featuring a very conservative, low entry rocker and generous, accelerated tail rocker, but blended with a no concave nose area to the shallowest of a single concave, fading to a slight vee through the fins, and back to flat out the tail. This bottom contour allows effortless drive, and glide, while importantly negating the high volume, and lets the rail easily engage and roll into the water. Less concave/more volume. This is the 'magic' of El Patron. Other details include: - Heavily blended rails, that belie the overall thickness, and feel really good in your hands, and in the water - Thin, boxy rails from the fins back through the tail, allowing control and feeling loose - Forward thickness flow, for drive and extreme paddle-ability

This is my step up board from my groveller. Ridden in waves 3-6 foot. Excellent width through the center allows for extra glide and paddle ease. Hi-Fi construction is strong and durable. Do yourself a favour, check one out. Cheers

So much fun, fast, turns on a dime, easy to catch waves, could turn into the one board quiver.

I’m a tall bloke over 100kg. Have surfed all my life but wanted a versatile board with volume for a range of conditions . The DHD Black Diamond has been great in medium sized surf but also in larger Indo swell. It’s probably DHDs answer to the HyptoKrypto. Great all round board to have in quiver !

I couldn’t love this board anymore if I tried! I thought twins were for a bit of cruising & mushy beach days. This board has redefined the twin fin experience for me. Super fun, surprisingly easy to paddle & generate momentum, speed to burn on take off plus you can throw it around. Also, my first epoxy & I think that adds to the feel of the board and it’s paddle power. I nearly bought another thicker brand and model But js have used the dimensions and shape to hide the foam beautifully....and it looks kick ass!

I love this board - sometimes a little too much - and end up surfing it when I should be surfing my standard HP board. I got the 5’10” in SuperFlex. And it’s lasted really well. It’s so awesome for smaller beachies, fat rolling beach break days and also smaller reef days. Heaps of paddle gets you in early and has so much drive and speed. I typically surf as a quad. It feels super smooth and stable - great rebound off the foam. Despite the volume it gets on rail and turns well in the pocket. It has improved my surfing and I enjoy small days surfing this board way more than I used too - it’s a great step down board that can easily perform.

Wow what a board, this weapon works well in most conditions from small to overhead. Chargers down the line with speed stable in the face. Paddle power is great being a slightly heavy dude this is a must to get to the lineup quick as it's heavy populated where I am. Quality is great haven't had any issues, owned for about 2 years now.
