This is a great mid-length board. It's really well-made. Took a while to find the sweet spot (both paddling and riding) as I normally ride shortboards. Got this for the smaller days and for when I feel more like cruising. It works well. Plenty of speed, with great glide. Feels like you flow effortlessly across even the smallest waves. Put the back foot behind the fins and it turns well. Overall, a really fun board.

Best board i have ever owned hands down.. Bought as a step up with the Pin Tail as we had some travel plans and i paired them with Garys Quad fins.. The fins with the board just work. I havent tried anything different and i won't. Covid stuffed my travel plans but whenever a big swell hits the sunny coast i reach for this board. I messaged Gary after my first surf. Mindblown at how well the thing paddles, how it turns, how stable it is and how it just loves sitting in the pocket. I Have had some of the surfs of my life on this board already and couldnt recommend it enough. i got it in PU Construction with a thicker deck glassing and Garys suggested Dims for me. He hid the foam really well. Just go get one you ll love it

I decided to go with the RTT because i had bought a Gary Mcneill Entity Pin last year and from the first wave i got fell in love with the board and figured i'd try some more of Garys models The RTT took a few surfs to feel comfortable with. On my fourth surf i really clicked with it and haven't turned back. The thing feels like it doesnt paddle as fast as i think it does but i have got into every wave i have paddled for so no complaints there. The speed is mind blowing. I had it out at Alex over the last swell and it was blowing through sections.. been surfing it on points and beachies and it goes great and feels really stable underfoot. I got the Flax construction which looks awesome and goes great. I'd have got a thicker deck glassing next time as im over 100kg's, i had forgot to ask. I also got Garys Keel Fins which i am going to put back in soon and have a play around with them.. I ended up putting in the Al Merrick Keels that i own on the second session and it felt right for me and they have been in ever since. I would not let this board go, its just a great board to have in the quiver like the entity is..

Hard to get used to this board. So different experience from all the other reviews. Keel fins made it boggy so had to change straight away. Can’t believe everyone’s giving it 5 stars for paddling? I normally ride a hypto krypto and that is way easier. Board is bloody heavy also certainly has momentum but can’t really flick it around. I’ll stick with it because I do like the board but I’m some what a little disappointed. Sorry Gary

Very happy with the RTT. I always travel with it. It has a versatile range, flat enough rocker to get speed in small gutless waves and enough hold to surf powerful hollow waves. There is a pivot/release point where the channel exits the rail at the tail. You can really engage this spot for some snappier turns. Upright or keel fins, works with both, mix it up for a change of feeling.I normally leave in futures K2s. If it were to break, I’d replace it, same shape, same dimensions.

Awesome board. Easy paddle due to the deceptive volume under the chest with the rolled deck. Fast, carves turns - just a great board. Had plenty of comments about a really nice shape. Love it!

I ordered this board in flax with bio resin and eps recycled foam. The board is built solid with high quality workmanship. Although I’ve only tested this board so far in slightly fatter 3ft beach breaks. I found out this board turns on a dime but still drives well down the line. I can already see this board would perform in better waves, and is where I think the board will excel. The tail is quite pulled in which is going to give you the control when the waves are optimal as your flying down the line. If your looking for a board that will perform in better waves, has speed to burn turns on dime but also the ability to do it all with control, the pip by Gary McNeil is worth your consideration.

This is a great all round board. Good volume under the chest for paddle power and stability when its small. Trims nicely. Decent rocker and turning power on steeper bigger swell but still a sweet solid ride. Tucks in nicely when its hollow too. Stunning artwork and top quality finish like all the Gary boards. A whole lot of fun and makes me feel like a better surfer than I am :)

Super fun twinny in anything from 2-6ft. Holds really well when it gets steep and has loads of drive. Loosens up when you want it to. Running uprights in it and it’s been my favourite board since I got it!

Great board for the bigger surf. Solid under foot and draws beautiful lines. I’d ride it in anything over chest to head high. I was seriously impressed with the construction methods. Strong and durable delivering bang for buck and better for the environment.
